Physician Profiles
All of the physicians at Michigan Heart Group are active in
cardiology research, have made national and international presentations,
and have been widely published in medical literature. To review a

Amy Forbes, received her Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University
and has worked as an Exercise Physiologist for Michigan Heart Group since September of 2000.
In September of 2007, Amy expanded her role at Michigan Heart Group and went to work with Jan Halash, as a Device Specialist. She assists the physicians by checking patients' pacemakers and ICD's(implantable
cardioverter defibrillator). She has also taken a critical role in organizing the ICD support group run by Jan Halash and herself.
The group meets every other month and discusses such issues as nutrition, medication, devices and
general feelings patients may have dealing with the day in and day out effects of having an ICD.
