Jan Halash, is nationally certified in device follow up by the Heart Rhythm Society, formally known as NASPE.  Jan received her received her LPN from the Shapero school of nursing in Detroit.  She then moved to St. Paul, Minnesota where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from the University of St. Catherine.

In June of 2004, Michigan Heart Group, P.C. expanded to include Michigan Heart Rhythm Group which included a device clinic.  Jan is our device specialist; she assists the physicians by checking patients pacemakers and ICD’s.  Both these devices need to be checked on a regular basis, if you have one of these devices you should being visiting our office on a regular basis to have it checked.  If you have your device checked at the hospital they will send the report to your physician.
