Howard J. Hollinger, P.A.-C. is licensed by the State of Michigan and certified by the American Academy of Physician's Assistants. Howard received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California in Santa Barbara. Howard completed his Master of Science in the Physician's Assistant Program at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. As a physician assistant, Howard divides his time at Michigan Heart Group between the office and William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He is licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision, and exercises autonomy in medical decision making to provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. His duties range from interviewing patients, compiles patient's medical histories, performing physical examinations, ordering necessary diagnostic laboratory tests, and admitting and discharging patients from the hospital.

As a patient, you may see Howard in the office for hospital follow up care, blood pressure checks or medication adjustments. You may also see him in place of your regular physician if your physician is not available at the time in which you need to be seen. Howard confers with the supervising physician before implementing treatment plans to ensure that your care is followed through as your physician has intended.
